Epic Games pulled out all the stops for Fortnitemares 2023, confirming collaborations with Halloween, Alan Wake, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. With the latter, Jack Skellington will receive an in-game Fortnite bundle before the conclusion of Fortnitemares on November 3. While it’s not the first time Epic Games and Disney have collaborated, this is significant.

Here is the first look at Jack Skellington in Fortnite and an expected release date.

Jack Skellington will release as part of the “Pumpkin King Bundle,” with an Outfit and Christmas alternate style, a Pickaxe, Glider, Back Bling, and two Emotes.

Those who enjoy The Nightmare Before Christmas should recognize many of the items, which we have provided below:

Like the Michael Myers skin, Epic Games has yet to confirm a release date for the Jack Skellington Fortnite skin. The blog post says, “Look out for the Jack Skellington Outfit in the Item Shop later in Fortnitemares 2023!” According to leaker iFireMonkey, the Jack Skellington “Pumpkin King” releases on October 23 at 8 p.m. EST.

The Michael Myers crossover opened the door to other potential collaborations in the future; could the same apply to Fortnite and Disney? Disney has frequently collaborated with Fortnite, creating Marvel and Star Wars cosmetics. The Nightmare Before Christmas brings Jack Skellington to Fortnite from Tim Burton’s stop-motion world.

Fortnite could be inching closer to a more complex partnership with Disney beyond the surface-level popular franchises. Only time will tell whether that happens.
